Sewing the Block

Section 1 
Sew 1 triangle of light background fabric to 1 triangle of dark background fabric. Repeat this step 3 more times.

Section 2 Sew 1 rectangle of light background fabric to 1 rectangle of print fabric. Repeat this step 3 more times.

Rows 1 and 3
Using the illustration as a guide, sew 2 triangle units to each edge of 1 rectangle unit. Repeat once more.

Row 2 Using the illustration as a guide, sew 2 rectangle units to each edge of 1 print square.

Joining the rows
Sew rows 1 and 3 to row 2, matching up seams and making sure to rotate row three to mirror row 1.
