In my book, there is no such thing as ugly fabric. Or ugly thread. So even after sewing a project I save every little bit to repurpose into something new.
I especially like to make new "fabric"... collages from which to cut out pieces for new projects.
And that's what these coasters are all about. Just follow this tutorial for a fun collage using leftover strips of fabric. For six coasters, make a collage about 8 x 12 inches. Cut six 3½ circles and bind with your choice of binding. It's just that easy!
Tip: Don't let your scraps accumulate! As soon as you have an adequate amount, make a collage. This way you will always have some ready for a quick project like this one. When in need for a quick gift, you can zip up a set of these little coasters in a matter of minutes!
