Don't throw out those teensy, tiny fabric scraps left over from rotary cutting or trimming. Here's an idea of how to use all those tiny fabric leftovers for Christmas ornaments.
Simply follow the system indicated in our Fabric Beads tutorial. Just make them larger... as large or as small as you like.
Once you've finished wrapping your fabric ball, cut your choice of "leaves" from felt (download attached file for some leaf patterns). Embroider and sew the leaves onto the ball. Attach a ribbon or thread loop for hanging. And then embellish to your heart's content. In my example, I used straight pins to attach silver beads. You can also glue beads, sequins, or buttons on. Use leftover bits of lace or rick-rack! You get the idea...
