Alexia's Corner

 

Hi! My name is Alexia. I am 9 years old (2007). I love to draw and I am learning how to sew with my Nanny (grandmother). This summer we worked on a special project: my very first quilt with my own designs. We had a lot of fun together and I love my new quilt.

My second quilt is a rag quilt for my brother Julian. This quilt was a lot easier and faster to make. Maybe you would like to make one, too.

I would like to share my drawings with other kids who like to sew, maybe with their parents, grandparents, friends, or other relatives. I have to go to school, too, so can't sew all the time. But whenever I can, I will share the new things I am learning to sew.

Alexia your quilt is really cute and you did a really nice job... I am trying to teach my 9 year old granddaughter to sew... our only problem is she lives too far away... I am encouraging her to quilt so I am excited to show her your finished quilt... Gloria
