Adding Color: Squares

Some time ago I purchased Laura Farson's Book on Fast-folded Flowers and immediately noticed her method is a spinoff of the Secret Window design. She takes it even further, working with other shapes, such as hexagons (to fold down into a triangle), octagons, and dodecagons (which when folded down results in a sunflower shape). The main differences in her method is that she uses two different fabrics for her background blocks, machine stitches everything down, and doesn't add any windows to her blocks. So, I asked myself: what would happen if you apply her two-fabric background square to the Cathedral Window concept? I started to play around with fabrics and... eureka! I think I just "invented" a whole new variation!
