Two-Fabric Background Squares
You will recall that in the Basic Folded Square we start with a background square twice as big as the finished size we want (plus seam allowances). In this case, we will be omitting one of the folds and working with two squares of fabric. Here is a handy chart you can use to determine the size to cut:
