The base blocks are made up of Traditional Folded Squares and windows, where the corner blocks are Secret Garden units. A Prairie Point Border adds charm to this small wallhanging. |
The green border rows are Folded Rectangle Blocks and the center "Star" is made up of eight rotated folded triangle blocks. All blocks have been sewn with only one background fabric. Windows were added along all seams. Note the difference in the shape of the windows between the two-triangle units and the triangle blocks themselves |

The base is made up of nine Traditional Folded Square Blocks, with a Secret Garden unit and four traditional windows making up the center of the piece. The remaining blocks are made up of twists, and the corners are finished with one-quarter Secret Garden units. The whole piece was set on point, with prairie point accents along each border. |
This piece was made up of two-fabric Square Blocks (alternating fabrics). The top two and bottom two blocks include Secret Garden units. Windows were added along all joining seams, with a twist in the center for added interest. |

I haven't had time to sew this one up yet, but this is an example of everything presented in these tutorials on the Cathedral Window design. All blocks are made up of two-fabric background blocks. The center "star" consists of four two-triangle blocks, rotated clockwise.
The first row of blocks surrounding the star is made up of square blocks, and the other two rows are rectangular blocks, but in different sizes. The corners are square blocks.
Note that some blocks do not have any windows, whereas others have windows and secret garden units added.
The use of five different fabrics and different shaped units gives a lot of movement to this quilt!
