Rectangle Blocks

Although the traditional Cathedral Window design is based on individual folded squares, by applying the same principle to other shapes we can achieve greater movement to the overall design. In this tutorial we will learn how to apply the same principles we learned for the basic square block to sew rectangle blocks, and we will develop this further in the following tutorial for triangle blocks. In both cases, as opposed to the square block where we simply started with a square of fabric and proceeded to fold it until we obtained a smaller square, we will have to prepare templates for our rectangle and triangle blocks.
