As you may or may not know, the idea for the My Dream House project evolved from a quilt I made several years ago. Although that particular quilt is not included in this collection, many of its individual blocks are. A similar house is included in this collection (easier to sew), so you can truly build your own "dream house."

If you want to create an amazingly intricate house... this is the way to go. Mind you, we're talking about a long project, that will take time and patience to sew. We also know these projects are always worth it. Plus half of the fun lies in the design process itself, in deciding what furniture to put in, what accessories to include, and whether you want "people" living or not in your house. (-:

However, if you would prefer to start with a simpler project, remember that all these house templates use blocks as the base for the building. You can add as many as you want to go several floors high, or limit the number both vertically and horizontally for smaller projects:

And, since you are truly your own architect, don't forget to consider elements from some of the other houses in the collection to create your own truly unique house!
